Who we are

Velvet is a business based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, that builds software for small and medium businesses. Contact: velvetworksco@gmail.com.

Talking to a WEFT assistant

• A WEFT assistant is an AI, not a person. It answers from the information the business gave it, and it can make mistakes.
• An order or booking you place through an assistant is a request to that business. The business confirms it, fulfils it and is responsible for it, including its prices, availability, payment and its own terms. Velvet is not a party to it.
• If something the assistant said matters to you, such as a price, a date or what is included, confirm it with the business.
• Please don't use an assistant to send anything unlawful, abusive, or someone else's personal details, or to try to make it do something other than help with that business.

For businesses using Velvet's products

• You must be at least 18 and able to act for your business.
• You are responsible for the information you give us (prices, policies, contact numbers) being accurate and lawful to publish, and for honouring orders your customers place.
• You must not use WEFT for anything unlawful, for spam, or to collect data you're not allowed to collect.
• Velvet processes your customers' data on your behalf, as described in the privacy page. A data processing agreement is available on request.
• Paid plans are not on sale yet. When they are, prices are shown before you buy, and the refund policy applies.

Children

The site and WEFT assistants are not meant for children under 16. Businesses must not use WEFT to collect children's personal data. If we learn we hold a child's data, we delete it.

Availability and changes

We work to keep everything running, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted or error-free. We may change or stop parts of the service, and we update these terms when we do. The date at the top shows the latest version.

Responsibility

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Velvet is not responsible for losses caused by an assistant's answers, by a business's handling of an order, or by interruptions we couldn't reasonably prevent. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that can't be limited.

What's ours

The Velvet, WEFT, LOOM and SILK names and marks, the site's design and the software are Velvet's. Fonts: Fraunces, IBM Plex Sans, IBM Plex Mono and Work Sans, used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 and served by Google Fonts. The logos and graphics on this site are Velvet's own.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai.
